Interested Operators (franchisees) should possess a passion for service, aptitude for business, and desire to work as a team to accomplish your goals. Direct experience is not required, but an ideal candidate should have a helping spirit and entrepreneurial ambition.
Online Operator Application
In order to begin the process, you must-first complete our online franchise application. Upon confidential review of your information and preliminary approval, we will notify you of our mutual interest. We will need to collect certain documentation which we will share with you along the way.
Visit our home office in Worcester, Massachusetts
After we have worked together to explore the opportunity of working together, we will invite you to visit us in Worcester to tour our facilities and get to know each other. This is essentially an interview process for all parties prior to being awarded a franchise. During this visit, you will receive an in-depth presentation from key departments regarding our franchise opportunity, and meet our executive staff and management team. You will see first-hand how our homes are run and managed, from the back-office business management functions, to the residents and the impact we have on their lives.
Vanderburgh Communities will evaluate your application and the information you have provided. We may collect financial statements, credit history, and background information. We reserve the right for a second interview if it becomes necessary. You will receive a franchise agreement upon executive team approval.
Enter Franchise Agreement
After receiving your franchise agreement and waiting seven calendar days, you will then execute your agreement and send in the initial franchise fee. Once the agreement and franchise fee have been received and finalized, you will be an official franchisee.
Training & Orientation
This is a required one-day orientation class which should be scheduled and completed within the first 60 days of becoming a Vanderburgh Communities franchisee. Here, we will discuss all the steps involved with opening your home(s), including budgeting, financing, planning, site selection, ordering, construction, and more. Once complete, you will schedule a meeting with our real estate department to begin the site selection process, which is the first step towards getting your doors open.
